Paddy & Bill in Wilmington Saturday, June 30th...........

Posted by PaddyG

Hello boys and girls.........

We'll be in Wilmington tomorrow night at Hell's Kitchen for our monthly shindig at the beach. I hope some of you can attend. The beach is the place to be this time of year even if you are an Irish man who gets sunburn from a stiff breeze. I have lots to mention about the gigs and events at the Pub but, I will have mercy on you and leave that 'till next week. Thanks for being on our mailing list. Stay safe. Be good. Wash your arse and drink Guinness.

All the best,
Paddy

What's Happening At The Pub

Posted by PaddyG

It's hard to believe that the pub has been in existence now for four months. In some ways, though, it seems much longer!! There will be quite a few changes in the next week or so. Change is good; it makes life more interesting.

This is the last Thursday for "Martini Time". We will now be having "Cocktail Time" every Tuesday from opening to closing. There will be complimentary food on that night just as we have had for "Martini Time". Of course Paddy & Bill will still be on stage around 10pm or so.

Jennifer Licko will be on stage Wednesday, July 4th. This will be her second show at the pub. Jennifer is an outstanding performer from Swansboro, North Carolina. We will be having complimentary food that night too.

Wednesday, July 11th is the first night of a very exciting feature – The Cape Fear Songwriters' Guild. That means we will be having 'live music' every Wednesday night from now on. Jeremy Strothers, of DL Token fame, will be on stage at 8pm followed by other musicians in the area who will be doing their original music. Of course it will be acoustic since Paddy's is not large enough to support a full band. Stay tuned for more info about the Guild.

"Appreciation Night" will be on Thursdays after this week. We will have complimentary food around 7pm until it's gone. This is our way of saying thanks for supporting us all this time. Of course Paddy & Bill will be on stage around 11pm as always.

The only thing on the calendar for Friday night is Paddy & Bill around 11pm. That could change soon so keep checking the calendar – http://paddygibneypub.com/calendar.html

There is live music on Saturdays with either Paddy & Bill, Ethan Hanson, or Danny Nieves. Check the calendar for the particulars.

That's about it. See you at the pub!!

Hi boys & girls,

This is LauraH. Paddy's computer is in the hospital so I am sending out an email for him.

Wednesday night is "Appreciation Night" at the pub. That means – FREE FOOD at 7PM with a sort of Mexican flavor this week. The star attraction in the food department will be meatballs with chile con queso. There will be some Mexican/TexMex dips to go along with assorted chips and veggies and the usual relish thingy. Check out the full menu here - http://paddygibneypub.com/Events/AppreciationNight.html

Paddy was expecting to have his new dart boards by tomorrow night but that is not to be. I don't know what he has up his sleeve so we will just have to wait and see. Should be interesting!!

Thursday night is Martini Time with complimentary food. You can read all about it on the website – http://paddygibneypub.com/Events/MartiniNight.html

Check the calendar - http://paddygibneypub.com/GoogleCalendar.html - for all the latest and greatest with the pub.

That's it for this time. Hope Paddy's computer is back home soon; bet you do too!!!

Paddy & Bill Stuff……..Jennifer Licko on Wednesday

Posted by PaddyG

Hello boys and girls........

I got home at 7am this morning....sweaty, smelly, dirty, stinky, nasty, disgusting, and reeking.....all the qualities I look for in a woman. Anyway, you gotta love the bar business! I'm hanging in there though. The women's bathroom is coming along so well that some folks have taken to making babies in there. Not a practice I condone but, I privately get a kick out of it. The hand lotion, expensive soap and three-ply toilet paper seem to be bringing out the wild side of some of the girls. I certainly expect the first child conceived in my pub to be named after me (Patricia if it's a girl). I already have a dog named after me (pictures on website). How appropriate I hear some of you say......well, pog mo thoin.

Bill and myself don't normally play at my pub on Saturday's but we're doing so tonight. We'll probably play at least one Saturday per month. Danny Nieves and Ethan Hanson will make up the other Saturdays with more acts to follow in the coming months. Speaking of more acts, we have a special night coming up this Wednesday. Every Wednesday we will be providing food free of charge starting at 7pm. The dartboards I ordered from Dublin will be in this month and I expect Wednesday's to revolve around darts however, we will have different things going on from time to time. We're calling our Wednesday's Appreciation Night.......hence the free food. Anyway, to kick this off this Wednesday we have the wonderful Jennifer Licko performing for us (www.jenniferlicko.com). She's traveling down from Greenville. Her show starts at 8pm, early enough for almost everyone. Check out her website. She performs a variety of Scottish and Irish tunes. Jennifer is a multi-instrumentalist who has lived in Ireland and studied our culture and music. It should be an enjoyable night.

Today is June 9th and it's Laura Harper's birthday. She is a real angel to Bill and me. She is our friend and a friend to many of you reading this. Send her some love. Not many people get to celebrate their 21st birthday as often as Laura has....he he.....she almost flashed us at the show last night! By the way, check out PRIMELIFE Magazine (for those of you in Fayetteville). Laura is the front page story. It's a wonderful article about all the work she does for musicians throughout Fayetteville........God Bless You. We love you darling.

That's it mes amies. Thanks for indulging me. Check out our websites www.paddygibney.com and www.paddygibneypub.com To our military friends all over the world. God Bless and thanks for what you are doing for so many. We're proud of you. We'll see you along the road.

All the best,
Paddy
